Installed mambo-smf bridge but cannot see user login fields on main page

Post by jinspin » Thu Sep 01, 2005 8:49 pm

hi

I installed the bridge MOS_SMF_BRIDGEv3[1].19a_stable

I cannot see the login fields or buttons on the main page.  All that is displayed below the main menu every time is

Login  Form

I had unpublished the default mambo login and published the smf mambo login.  But I do not see any fields or buttons for users to log in.  There is logout button but i click on it - it just displays the embedded wrapped forum inside mambo.  What am I missing?

also i had edited the mos_smf.php because I wanted to run the forum stand alone if I wanted to. Am I correct in saying that this will enable new users created in SMF to be automatically populated in mambo? This is what the code does?

I did create a database user that had access to both smf and mambo and pointed both apps to this user.

This sounds as though you are already logged in. Thats why you see the logout button. Therefore you don't need the text entry boxes.

Try logging out...

that is the default logout behaviour.

You need to configure the Bridge to control what you want to do when you logout.

Do you have a URL?

It sounds very much to me like you did not complete the installation of the SMF mod package in step 1.
