Joomla + SMF + Coppermine Integration

Post by sheps » Sun Sep 18, 2005 5:41 pm

Hi All

Has anyone been fortunate to integrate Joomla with SMF and Coppermine?

I've been able to integrate Joomla with SMF and have made the necessary changes to Coppermine - yet I still can't log into Coppermine. :(

The structure of mysite is as follows:-

Joomla - mysite.co.uk
SMF - forum.mysite.co.uk
Coppermine - gallery.mysite.co.uk

The structure of my FTP is as follows:-

http://www.mysite.co.uk is pointed to access the following FTP files:- /www/mysite.co.uk/joomla
forum.mysite.co.uk is pointed to access the following FTP files:- /www/mysite.co.uk/forum
gallery.mysite.co.uk is pointed to access the following FTP files:- /www/mysite.co.uk/gallery

I have editted the Coppermine smf.inc.php file to look for SMF at the following location:-

$path = '../../forum';

At the moment I'm not looking to wrap Coppermine into a Joomla page (I'm happy to have a separate page) - I'm simply want to get one set of users working for all three sections of the site.

I've followed the instructions detailed in post:- http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,5605.0.html but as you'll see from my post on it - NO LUCK!

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

What version of SMF?

Shouldn't that be just '../forum' ?

Sorry - that's a typo.

it is ../forum.

Since my first post and a little bit more research into cookies I've removed the subdomain's and the re-structured mysite so that  SMF and Coppermine is:-

http://www.mysite.co.uk/forum and http://www.mysite.co.uk/gallery

When I log in via Joomla logs me in and when I click my Gallery link (linked to http://www.mysite.co.uk/gallery) - it still doesn't recognise me as being logged in?

Any ideas??
