Please note, while SMF is free, and you can modify it nearly any way you like, one thing you are NOT allowed to do is remove or alter the SMF copyright statement.

Strangely, while sites using Joomla are only about 5% of the SMF user base, we make up about 20% of the copyright violators.  That's certainly not the sort of reputation we want!
