Volunteer Joomla gurus sought to update African NGO sites

Post by Tobias Eigen » Wed Aug 13, 2008 9:32 pm

Greetings!

Kabissa is a nonprofit technology partner for 1200+ African civil society organizations. Among other activities, we provide domain hosting services to nearly 400 organizations, many of them using the Joomla! content management system.

Kabissa is seeking one or more Joomla! gurus to assist on a volunteer basis with keeping all of our Joomla! sites up to date with the latest security patches and modules, and also potentially to improve the sites as needed with upgraded themes and configuration. Quite a few sites are now out of date and neither we nor our members have the capacity to perform these upgrades on a timely basis.

We are looking for passionate, idealistic people that have the time and skills to collaborate directly through the Internet with African organizations and the Kabissa team. Please contact us at http://www.kabissa.org/contact to learn about the organizations we are supporting and if you would be interested in getting involved in our project.

Many thanks!

Tobias
