Multi-lingual site

Post by ovais » Sun May 06, 2007 10:36 am

Hello,

We are building a joomla community site using community builder. The most important feature my client want is Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Punjabi Support. If users want, they can use these languages to write or chat or send message.

[spam].com is providing same Multi-lingual mail facility, where users can choose to type mail in selected languages. How it can be accomplished in Joomla?

I will be really grateful if someone can help me out.

Thanks

Faiz

Hi Fiaz,
AFAIK Joomla 1.0.x supports only one language selection at any instant..
(By changing the locale of Global Configuration Settings provided you have installed various laguage packs)
However there is one nice official component Joom!Fish that will give frontend selection for language selection by user
  I have never tried it.
  This is for your info.
Thanks and Regards,
Penneru  :)
