Tamil-India (ta-IN) Language Pack for Joomla! 3.0 Released

Happy to announce that along with the release of Joomla! 3.0, the Tamil-India (ta-IN) full language pack (that includes both Admin and Site language packs) for Joomla! 3.0 has been released.

Now, you can install the language packs directly from the Extension Manager, using the option "Install Languages".

In case, if you encounter any error, the language pack could be downloaded from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtranslation3_x/frs/ and installed.

Being a full language pack, the Admin and Site packs would be installed at the same time in one installation.

nantri for your work. But as we are new to this language pack, can you explain how to instal. We tried through Joomla cpenal> Extensions> Language Manager> instal. But it is not uploading asking to contact coordinator. Kindly guide us.

Also can you show some websites, which has already installed.

The language packs have to be installed just like any other extension.

Try the following:
- Download the appropriate language pack from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtrans ... ge_id=6448
- Go to the Extension Manager (Extension -> Extension Manager)
- Click on the link Install on the left side
- Choose the file downloaded by clicking on the button "Browse..."
- Click on the button "Upload & Install"

One of the site you could review is http://www.tenkasishirdi.in that is a multilingual site using English and Tamil.

FYI - We are having Joomla 3.3.1 version and we tried 'ta-IN_joomla_lang_full_3.3.1v1.zip' from the said URL

I followed what you inform till > "Upload & Install"

But the screen show as below :

Did the testing on both Linux and Windows platforms with both ways (file upload & Install and Install Languages tab in the Extension Manager) and things work fine.

This leads me to believe that there is an issue with permissions or the tmp folder is missing.

Does this happen when you install any other extension?

What is the value available/provided for the variable $tmp_path in the file configuration.php?

If the path exists, what permission has been assigned to the folder defined in the variable $tmp_path?

After this error, does the Admin portion of the language gets installed?
