Tamil-India (ta-IN) Language Pack for Joomla! 3.1 Released

Post by imanickam » Sun Apr 28, 2013 3:57 am

Happy to announce that along with the release of Joomla! 3.1, the Tamil-India (ta-IN) full language pack (that includes both Admin and Site language packs) for Joomla! 3.1 has been released.

Now, you can install the language packs directly from the Extension Manager, using the option "Install Languages".

In case, if you encounter any error, the language pack could be downloaded from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtrans ... ge_id=6448 and installed.

Being a full language pack, the Admin and Site packs would be installed at the same time in one installation.

Comments and suggestions are welcome...

The Tamil Language pack could be installed just like any other extension from the Extension Manager. You could also install language packs from the tab "Install Languages" in the Extension Manager. In the latter case, you need not download the pack, it will be installed directly from the server.

Now there is a facility to install language packs while installing Joomla! itself.

The answers to your question could be found in the Tamil Forum (http://forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=545).
