Generic bridge using SOAP

Post by nkitson » Tue Jan 23, 2007 9:44 am

I need a bridge to synchronise my J!1.0.12 site with an in-house development.  The in-house system is on a different server to my Joomla site and the applications cannot be combined.  The in-house system has used SOAP in the past and the developer responsible is able to build his end of a bridge.

I started to get excited about com_connector until I read about the post J!1.0.08 problems and Leonsio's time constraints.

Can anybody think of a solution?  I'm happy to pay for a solution which could include using 'half a bridge' designed to link to a forum application, say, with the constraints that -
- It must work to an application on another server,
- It must use SOAP, and
- It must have enough basic documentation on the SOAP aspect to allow the other end of the bridge to be built.

Many thanks,
Nick

NuSOAP ?

It was used on Joogle from what I hear... allowing J! integration.

Yes it looks as though NuSOAP will get me closer.  Joogle can communicate with Google but doesn't use Joomla's username/password which I understand is somewhat complex.  I'm hoping to track down a component or module that will pass username/password back and forth.

Hi ebaart,

Sorry for delay replying - only just seen your post.  No, I didn't get any further - had to drop this project for a while but now interested again.  What about you, any progress?
