Invision?

Post by mosey » Sat Aug 19, 2006 2:15 am

There was an earlier thread (dated April) that asked about the progress of the connector in terms of bridging Joomla and IPB. It recommended (well, the instructions) that as no posts had been made for 45 days - start a new topic. Hence, I've created the topic today, and was wondering it it might be possible to get an update please? :)

For others looking to bridge InvisionBoard and Joomla

I'm very interested in this also as we have an existing IPB forum with over 4000 members and 600,000 posts.  We want to integrate this forum into a brand new joomla site.

I was wondering about the link you provided.  Does that only create a single log in for joomla dn IPB?  What I want to do is get IPB to sit within the joomla template as though it is part of the site.

I've seen it done but dont know how to do it myself.

Has anyone done this, is it as easy as it looks?

Next question is is there a way of getting user data from IPB to Joomla for an existing IPB forum?

Cheers

I want to integrate an older version of IPB (V1.1.1). Mostly, I want to pull the users over...but it would also be nice to import the forum structure and posts. The tutorial mentioned above is for much later versions of IPB. Does anyone know if that (or something else) would work for the earlier versions?

Is there not one person or team working on this !? They would be the hero for all to cheer! I'm willing to pay for a tested and working integration. Setup a donation account and I will give, We would just like to see this sorted out. :'(
