Add Class/Class Suffix to Menu Items

It would be nice if menu items had a class/class suffix.

What I would like to do:
Create a website where each menu item is an image and no menu item with the same image.

Example:
menu item 1/button 1
- a color picture of a family, when mouse goes over this menu item the image changes to a black and white picture. (might/might not have text or text is part of image)

menu item 2/button 2
- a color picture of a babe, when mouse goes over this menu item the image changes to a black and white picture. (might/might not have text or text is part of image)

What’s needed:
1. In the Menu Item Parameters have a Class/Class Suffix
2. In either the Menu Item Parameters or Modules --> Site Modules --> “menuname” have the option of whether the Menu Item Name should be displayed or not.

If these options were available my above examples should work very nice using css.

This could also be useful for someone who wants to use fonts that are not popular.  You could make an image of that font and use that image as a button so others would see the same font you do.
