Need to change the folder where Joomla image browser go?

My Global Configuration point my Joomla Image Manager to images/stories and need to be there.

I have a component that use

index.php?option=com_media&view=images&tmpl=component&e_name=nsfhjpg

to bring in a lightbox with the Image Manager window.

Fo sure, it show as root images/stories.... I really need to hack this to go in another folder inside the images folder...

Any suggestions will be cool!

You could try to have a look at the model file:
/administrator/components/com_media/models/list.php
