are there existing / available tests for joomla ?

looking for test suites available with joomla to run either manually (documented steps) or automatically (executing scripts for eg) ?

=> test scenarios / use cases to play with joomla ?

actually, i'm more looking for test suites to run with Joomla than demo itself
objective is to exercise CMS joomla relying on AMP stack through simple end-user test scenarios that mimic user actions / interactions
these tests to be either documented use cases (that could be automated using selenium) or automated tests directly executable

for instance Apache, MySQL and PHP ship non regression tests to build and run

Hi Jean,

I have been at the start of the Q&T working group, and I'm afraid we have no real test scripts for test tools such as selenium. A few of our members have started setting up unit testing, but I'd have to check whats the current status on that.

Do you have experience yourself in tools such as selenium and using them on web applications?

Actually we do have selenium experience in our company and intend to automate any system test to ensure continuous testing for our coming OSS AMP stack builds

As mentionned if you have documented use cases in the sense of end user tests scenarios related to Joomla (i.e no test scripts) we could automate them (with selenium for instance depending on the use case) and finally share them to the OSS community to become non reg test suite typically

Can I get back to you about that any time soon? I would be very interested in doing some kind of pilot with a use case and putting that into a selenium script.
