Re: hi
Hi, nice to hear from you!
Would it be an idea to get together with some Joomla enthusiasts in Malta?
Or do you feel people will want to keep their cards close to their chest in this small economy we work in? I think meeting up could in the course of time help make Joomla more known which would benefit everyone who works with it. BTW I do not make money on Joomla myself. Also we might be able to help each other developing or testing extensions. If there are enough Maltese, you could even think of collectively translating the core and some popular extensions into Maltese. The internet is now penetrating into layers of the population where English is not always spoken well, and where the internet is used purely locally. Joomla's low cost could accelerate this if Maltese was available. Speaking about language, I can help translating Maltese extensions into Dutch.
In any case, I think it would be nice to be able to chat about Joomla locally.

Clearly David Attard and Jean Pierre Galea are the experts amongst us. Btw David and I were in contact months ago but never got to meet. Myself, umek, stoneferry and triggeru571 are the other active users in Malta and the rest are clearly inactive. So that makes 6 of us, not much but a good start.
To try and organise this I have made a meeting page on mobaganda (http://www.mobaganda.com/joomlamaltameeting) where everyone can confirm or decline (without needing to login), and I will do a PM to the active users to pass this url. I've just picked a date, but if you want another date you can do the same as I did and then we can simply see which date gets most response.
Ok?
