Banner advert upload

I want to upload a banner advertisement on my 1.0 site at http://www.ceramrefractories.co.uk. i have uploaded the banner into banners under media manager. i have then created the client and manager bits under components>Banner etc and have gone into Modules>Site and opened the banner module and set the position to Top. but no banner has appeared. What am I failing to do?

I have now noticed that it will not let me set the banner position to top, but I have tried bottom, user 4 and footer which it is happy with but nothing has appeared. could it be a template thing?
