logged in but modules say, "welcome guest"

Hi,

When anyone visits my site, they are logged in from the last visit.
However every module, (uddie IM and Fireboard) will show the user as "Welcome, guest" or "your not logged in"
By pressing a page refresh it then works.

Help please, even just a hint.. Im unable to fix this.

Is it possible for you to seek solution from those component's site to make sure it's joomla's issue or not?

I posted on the other forums but no results. (it appears im the only one in the entire joomla community with this issue)

Also its been following me from Joomla 1.xx. My server host suggested I double check my time setting but its OK.
I have pretty much given up.. But I guess as far as Joomla is concerned "you ARE logged in" but any "module" on the front page will show your not as it does not share the data with the other modules (such as modules that are for users only) will reflect your credentials as guest untill you refresh the page.


I have checked everything for two years on this nagging issue and will toss in the towel and admit defeat.

shut down the browser and close the site page and re open the browser and revisit my site and joomla will welcome you but all modules will show "you are not logged in" untill you press "refresh"

well ... I am not sure how to help you, but I hope someone will ...
I test it and it is not working as you states.

I have this problem, too. It's a bit unsettling and seems to be a Joomla issue since it shows as being not logged in on the home page with the Joomla login module, yet all the Registered user level pages show up.
