Retrieving edited work

When editing a page in Joomla 2.5 using Chrome and Tinymce I sometimes click on a URL in the same Joomla tab that I am editing (I do all the editing before I 'save' the page. That means I lost all my changes. Can anyone suggest a way to retrieve the lost work? I tried Shift-Cmd-T but it doesn't work.

Either ctrl z for undo or the back button if not I'd suggest you change your settings so that links open in a new tab possibly
