Joomlafied!

Post by chette » Tue May 09, 2006 4:39 am

After 1 million years, I have upgraded my personal site from Mambo to Joomla. A lot easier than I thought. I used the "clean install" method: Installed Joomla like a new installation, dumped my old data in the new db, and ran the migration sql script.

Very nice, very cool.

And don't you just love Joomla's installation script? So pretty :)

I have also installed AkoComment Plus, and the Gallery2 Bridge. No problems (yet).

Now on to my template updates ...

Hi chette,

If your site was running Mambo for a million year before you decided to use Joomla,
this would mean that I am allowed to use Mambo too for another million year if not
forever at the same time I also use Joomla for antoher million year if not forever
right? If so, then soon I will make a link of my personal sites running Mambo/Joomla.

By the way, you've got a wonderful site!

Bye for now!

I wanted to put a Guestbook and I previous had a sign which exclaimed proudly "Welcome to my homepage!" ... but some people commented it wasn't "professional." Awwww.

Not that I even think that my website is a "pro." Still a proud amateur.
