[RESOLVED] Error with Date in calendar after editing Article in Front-end

Post by humvee » Wed Dec 12, 2007 2:45 pm

Hi
Found a problem with the calendar in Articles when they are edited in the Front-end (tested on LocalVista/XAMPP & remote Linux both PHP5.2.24, MySQL5).

To reproduce open existing Article as the Administrator in the Front-end and make a slight change to text and Save. Shows the updated date and all seems ok, but the status in the Back-end will have changed to Published/Expired and the Finish date of the Article has been changed to 1970-01-01 01:00:00. Overtyping with Never has no effect, and the Article date has to be manually edited in Back-end to a distant date.

Re-tested on [SVN9618] today and no problems, very strange!

thanks anyway J-M

Andy

Edit: It actually does this when Debug Language & Debug System are both set to yes!?
If out of these two it accepts "Never" quite happily. It also does not revert to Never from 1970.01.01... if you revert to the non debug modes.

It does create Never in if you just delete the entry altogether even in Debug mode!
Very, very strange

Closing.
god doesn't play dice with the universe. not after that drunken night with the devil where he lost classical mechanics in a game of craps.

Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves.
