[solved in SVN]Interesting new bug in article time

Post by StarShaper » Fri Jan 11, 2008 1:20 pm

This bug is pretty old and was fixed for awhile.

See

http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic ... msg1125288

and

http://groups.google.com/group/joomla-d ... d82b8c8213

However, it seeems that this bug is there again. Always when you save the article, the time increases by 2 hours.

It might be related to timezone offsets so depending on which side of GMT you are on you will see somewhat different results, including some people's times going forward and some backward.

but make sure you have your timezone selected or if you want to test it again

I tried to replicate this on the same svn version.

time is on the spot and i have set my time to GMT +1 wich is correct for me

I already tested it. My time zone is GMT +1, too. With this timezone I get +3 hours every time I save an article.

Well - then it maight be system settings in other areas that causes it.

I should be able to replicate it as i have the same svn version and gmt settings...

Could you provide some more detailed system info?

I am also encountering this problem. It first appeared in a vanilla RC4 that I installed, then i updated to 9922 and it still happens. Maybe this only affects the latest versions of PHP?

The date problem is patched and solved for sure. The problem you have is most likely that you do a checkout from the wrong location. The trunk is now used for 1.6 development, please do your checkout from the following location:

http://joomlacode.org/svn/joomla/develo ... leases/1.5

More information on the change of this information can be found on the development list, and I will certainly write down a blog for those who missed this.

Interesting news! Indeed, that was the reason. I did a checkout from http://joomlacode.org/svn/joomla/development/trunk

Now switched to http://joomlacode.org/svn/joomla/develo ... leases/1.5

Problem solved.  :)
