[RESOLVED] Edited article is not saved when the admin session expires
When I edit an article and it takes too long that the admin session expires and I click the Apply button, I am logged out. When I relogin and check the article the original status is displayed, the new edit was not saved. It may be terrible because you may lost what you edited so far.

Re: Edited article is not saved when the admin session expires
I don't believe this is a bug
It has always been like this as i can think of it - if you leave your editor for a while when creating an article = settings won't be saved if the session expires before you hit the save button.
I got used to it, and have learned to save the article text/content by right click if i get worried about my time used...this goes for most forums/dynamic sites i write a lot on = same thing happends on most sites with forum/dynamic content if the session cookie is to "stressed" lol
I agree on that it is not a "good" thing always - might even mess up someones mood for a while
But, i don't think anything will be donne with this right now - at least not in the 1.5 - maybe not at all = it seems logic that you can't save if you actually ain't logged in any more...

Re: Edited article is not saved when the admin session expires
There is a workaround:
Change timeout for backend from (AFAIR) 900 seconds to 86400 or more.
15 or 30 minutes (AFAIR timeout in frontend) is unrealistic in almost any case.

Yepp, I see, I should have submitted this post in the Wishlists forum :P
Yes, there may be temporary solutions, however, I expect from the most popular OS CMS to handle this properly.

This one has long been solved.
god doesn't play dice with the universe. not after that drunken night with the devil where he lost classical mechanics in a game of craps.

Re: Edited article is not saved when the admin session expires
Well, in a recent SVN, ca. 2 weeks ago, it seemed to be a problem, but using SVN 9900, fresh install, I am not logged out after a long period of time.
