mukhang ok ang kalabaw .. hehe.

Can we trim down on just two? It's usually better to make a decision if choices are limited. I think agila and kalabaw are good choices.

The carabao also signifies strength and perserverance. The Philippine Eagle also signifies pride. It might be worth aligning with the goal(s) or maybe main goal of Joomla! Philippines which is ... 

Personally, the carabao as an icon /mascot might be very interesting... besides caricatures of a carabao will surely look funnier (appealing) than the eagle.

Don't mind about the dwindling number of carabaos in the country. I lived in Pateros for several years, and quality 'balut' is almost synonymous with the place. An annual 'balut' festival is held there even up to this date. But did you know that Pateros is mostly no longer into the balut industry? The name sticks... and so will the carabao for the Filipinos.

On the far side, with the very volatile political situation in the country, our eagle might go for a crash landing anytime soon if situations does not improve or change. It's difficult to see the eagle right now as a symbol of pride... haughtiness maybe by those who are supposed to lead us.

A very insightful comment there jlilio. Now that there's a move to close, I second the notion!

wala pa pare.. after ng logo na pagbubutuhan ng masang joomla pinoy,.. we will go with design again then pagbotohan ulit. only in the philippines that very democratic ang forums natin

Hawhaw is so funny! I like him. and his name would also be Hawhaw! Pinoy na pinoy kasi dalawang syllables na inulit.

i agree with the suggestion na kalabaw nalang ang mascot..kasi for all we know, kahit mabagal xa eh masipag naman,...kagaya ng mga taong nasa likod ng Joomla!.ph, very hardworking....
