Joomla search module doesn't acknowledge 2 byte spaces

I need help for the search function of Joomla.

kasi ganito yun

nakamulti lingual ung isang website .. english and japanese
Kapag nakaset sa japanese ung site ung joomla search module doesn't acknowledge 2 byte spaces. Meaning, when searching for two or more words in Japanese, the spaces in between the words should be in 1 byte characters or it will not return search results.

What should I do to accept 2 byte spaces?

Is there a way to customize the search module para mag-accept ng 2 byte spaces???
