Do I need a joomla site to give out or sell joomla extensions?

Post by masourae » Sat Jan 04, 2020 2:56 pm

Hi,
I have created a site in custom php, since I am not creating only joomla stuff.

Last month I posted something in this forum and my initial account was banned. I found out that we should'nt link non joomla sites in this forum.
"Linking to your website that is not a Joomla website or a Joomla related website may be considered as spam, and may be banned and reported to stopforumspam.com and Google."

Will I be able to add my products to JED or I will need to build a joomla only extensions website? :'(

Thanks

Yes, you can offer your own Joomla extensions at any software platform you like, and add those products to the JED.

The warning you quoted is presented with every new post and it is difficult to miss it. Your account may have been banned because of self promotion, which is not allowed.

Last month was December and your current account was created in November. Does that mean that you had more than one account? Please note that the forum rules allow only one forum account per member.

The forum rules are available from viewtopic.php?f=8&t=65.

Sometimes is a bit difficult to tell the difference between one month and two months :-)
Time passes so quickly.
The post was indeed self promoting. I didn't read the rules.

Thanks for the reply!!
I am happy since I don't want to use multiple shops in the same site.
