joomla.org most bad support in CMS community?

Post by akbett » Thu Jun 23, 2022 8:39 am

Why does joomla.org show such a disgusting attitude towards its community. How can you achieve something if you do not respect the developers who make Joomla CMS better together with you.
10 days ago JED, unpublished all our extensions. Just like that, no prior warning letter. And now when we write: that they were mistaken. Zero reaction.
With such an attitude towards people, what is the first place among CMS?
Support should respond within 24 hours minimum. And I am silent already that we must support our own people in the first place.

https://extensions.joomla.org/support/k ... hecklists/
Go down to this:
License Checklist
List C1: GPL License Verification

The following criteria is considered while approving a listing based on the use of the GPL license.
1 The project site lists non-GPL Joomla extensions. - > the extension is not publishable. The JED will not link to sites that promote and distribute non-GPL extensions.
On the same day this complaint was posted, Jaz, the JED team leader replied you with this
JED will not link to a website that distributes non-GPL extensions, even if your free extensions are GPL compatible.

If your paid extensions are updated to be GPL compatible, we will reconsider this case.

However, you should note that changing the license.txt is not enough - you will also need remove the callback to your server that disables functionality until the user has logged in with a valid license. You also cannot restrict the user from installing the pro version on multiple domain names as this is against GPL also. You can only restrict support and access to the update server per domain, not installations.

Thanks JED team for protecting the integrity of Joomla and the GPL and banning this companies extensions.

I particularly liked the extension that uses jqueryui and in order to hide that they did a search and replace and called it jquerOSui and in the process breached the copyright of the jquery foundation
