Rochen the hosts of many joomla sites are down.Its being worked on.

Yes Joomla should announce this on main page that there is some problem ie "Joomla! Announcements" and also follow up with what have gone wrong here ie Rochen and how it was started and solved.

Also api.joomla.org is down.

My observations see that joomla.org (primary domain) itself seems sluggish as well.
