JED Extension XML update file

Hello.

Thanks for all the hard work on the directory, it is getting better every time I update my extension listing.

I have a question regarding the XML file for updating the listing. I keep getting the same error

Here is the link to the xml file that I'm using

Here is the warning that I'm getting

Your list XML update URL failed, please check the XML file's structure

I've checked the structure and it seems to be identical to the example on
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... icle?id=10

If you could help me understand what I'm missing I would be very grateful.

Thanks for the response, but I think my question might be a little confusing. Sorry about that.

Let me clarify, I'm the not trying to be informed of updates for the extension.

I'm trying to implement the JED extension update xml file, so that my extension listing will be updated automatically when I publish a release on my server.

Would be interesting to know if this neat XML listing update feature turned live.

I was reading the knowledgebase version of the same document a few days ago and this doc says the features isn´t live yet.

Thanks for pointing that out. It seems like the documentation isn't in sync. I don't know if it is live or not either, but I am getting the xml warning, so either the warning section is set up, but the check are defaulting to fail (false positive) or the system is actually live and there is an issue with my XML.

Both cases have a high probability, so I guess I'll just look out for a release regarding the feature. Then when I know it is live for sure, I'll know if my xml is broken for sure =^D

We are not getting errors, but the XML file is not being read. Is the XML update functionality not enabled on the JED?

Has this option been removed? I cant see it in the listing options of my extensions?

Yes, since it was not working, we finally removed it.
