on the J! 1.6 beta 6 announcement there is a little mistake:
the mistake marked bold. This is the fifth in our series of continuous beta releases. Beta 7 will be released on August 9, 2010.
Is it not supposed to be:Bjorg wrote:Generally any development will entail Alpha releases considered full of bugs, partially operation.
Once at the Beta stage, considered generally operation, possibly containing some quirks (bugs).
Then with the “Stable” releases most enjoy.
Fifth release, Beta 7 (possibly meaning that the first two were in Alpha, last five in Beta, totaling seven (7)).
Or, the first two Beta's, were not publically released, once past the Alpha stages.
Could read this either way.
Hope this helps!
??This is the sixth in our series of continuous beta releases
Recently found this article stating there were in fact 7 Beta releases:mbabker wrote:Actually, the OP is correct. There were two Alpha releases then the first Beta was released in May and updates have been released every two weeks after. This is indeed the sixth beta release and Beta 7 will be the next.
