Bogus Joomla Docs

According to the official Joomla docs, you can restrict access to the "Read More" area of an article by following the steps outlined here:

http://docs.joomla.org/Restricting_acce ... ad_more%22

I don't who this works for, but it definitely does not work for me in Joomla 2.5. Whenever you set an article to registered, it disappears, regardless of "Show Unauthorized Links" or any other setting.

Does anyone know how this is really done? And who updates/maintains these wikis?

thanks

The wikis are currently way behind, with too few people trying to keep them up to date. I am one of the ones trying, but please be patient with us, as they were neglected for a long time, so it will take a while.

Gotcha.

No worries, was just taken off guard when I was trying to do exactly what the article was describing with no luck. Might have been less confusion had the article a "Joomla! 1.5" tag on it anywhere, but that would require the very same updating you speak of.

Good luck!
