J4 Admin Help Screens - Image syntax

I updated a couple of J4 Admin Help Screens. I noticed that this format:

Help-4x-Menus-Menu-Item-Article-Categories-screen-en.png|800px

results in the alt text being the file name. Some of the placeholders had file-name.png|600px - and I replaced 600px with a translatable string. I now think that was wrong - but does that mean the Alt text always appears in English? And I took the 600px as a hint to make the image 600 pixels wide, which I did. Looking back at the Help-3x screens I am not sure that was right. And some image links have source sets.

I think I need some more guidance on image preparation than I have found so far.
