Hi hantz,

For security reasons you really should use latest stable release of the 1.0.x series, and that is Joomla! 1.0.15
So please update, only takes 5 mins. ;)

When thats said, I can only tell that the 1.0.x series do not support backend translation. Language strings are simply hardcoded.

The 1.5.x series fully support translation of backend.
But if you for some reason prefer to stay at 1.0.x series, there is a backend template that can actually help you localise the administration area. Its named Minted One-Point-Five and can be found at the bottom of this page:
http://www.joomlaworks.gr/
This template will let you translate strings from the backend. To avoid problem, please backup first, so you could roll back current setup. Best luck.
