[Component] e-commerce website with joomla + virtuemart

Post by syahzul » Mon Jul 31, 2006 12:50 am

firstly sorry kalau topik nie tak sesuai kat forum nie. tapi nak buat gak (aku nie degil sket)

saje nak tanya kalau sesiapa pernah buat e-commerce website utk jual barang. aku nak tau gak sikit sebanyak cara2 yg betul. setakat yg aku tau:

1. webserver kena ada SSL Certificate (kena beli)
2. kene ade payment gateway utk pembayaran guna credit card
3. shopping cart (virtuemart)

3. adakah perlu register dgn verisign, authorize.net, eProcessingNetwork.com dll tu
4. mcm mana pulak dgn tax? contohnya kita kat malaysia nak jual barang ke US?
5. shipping method? mana yg lebih bagus dan bagaimana dgn bayarannya?

tu aje kut. segala kerjasama anda amatlah saya hargai.

Ermm jawapan aku mcm ni.

1. Ermm untuk daftar dengan authorize net dll... tu adalah untuk terima kad kredit. Secara Online (Online payment gateway)

2. Kalau kita nak terima kad kredit sendiri pastu deduct money from the account sendiri leh la beli digital certs. Kalau nak guna yang kat atas tu, x beli https pon x per. BTW, yang tu perlu bila kita nak simpan no kad kredit atau transaksi buat atas server kita, kalau melalui authorize net gateway https tu dah sedia. so x perlu la.

Sebenarnya kalau nak jual barang senang je,
Yang perlu ada
1. Barang.
2. Website untuk peragakan barang
3. Payment gateway. (kalau nak terima kad kredit)

Pastu terpulang la kepada kita. Sebab nak jual barang x semestinya ada shopping cart, tapi kalau ada, ianya satu BONUS

nak setup e-commerce website tak susah...
tapi nak setup payment gateway... a beberapa perkara yg perlu anda consider...

ada tiga cara or approach utk buat credit card processing...
a) guna foreign payment gateway
b) guna local payment gateway
c) buat sendiri and apply internet merchant account kat mana2 local bank...

the easiest is using foreign payment gateway, minimum cost buat with drawbacks... e.g lihat http://www.azrul.com
nak guna local payment gateway.... goto http://www.netbuilder.com.my ( i think)...

at lastly nak setup sendiri.... ehehehee.... deposit kat bank between 30k-50k... depending on banks...

thats why tak ramai org malaysia buat ecommerce business...

my advice...

kalau your produk hanya target local market / malaysian .... just bukak account maybank2u... suruh diorang transfer through maybank2u...

p/s: i will update more next time on this topic... kalau ada masa....

transaction from atm @ online to a company account is blocked by maybank. atm @ online services lain boleh. aku dah ade pengalaman semua customer bising sbb kene amik no. (kat kaunter) kalau nak bank-in. so samada pakai akaun personal, atau guna (giro interbank ke bank lain) cam yang exabytes buat.

correct me if im wrong

untuk credit card, aku cadangkan macam ni:

memula guna 2checkout, (5.5% + US0.45 is a pain)
dua bulan pertama guna 2co.
nthen ko kira camni.
1.total credit card cost untuk sale sebulan 2co(5.5% + US0.45 bagi setiap transaksi untuk bulan tu)
2.total credit card cost untuk sale sebulan nbepay(3% + RM99)

so kalau kos 2co lagi tinggi ko tuka la ke nbepay. yang ngeri pasal nbepay ni RM99 sebulan tu. so kalau ko suwey gila xde sale langsung @ saleNbepay baru tuka) sbb market x menentu kan?
p/s:
bandingkan dengan kompeni lain selain Nbepay

untuk maybank2u lak.. kalau mampu wajib pakai.. 70% dari sale laman web aku buat dari maybank2u.
aku pastekan emel2 yg berkaitan.
Below is the rate for NBePay.

Setup Fee(RM):      200
Monthly Fee(RM):    99 (payment term is by annum)
Transaction Fee:    3%
Deposit (RM):        100
Settlement (Days): 15

In short, the price quotation for our NBePay System is as follows:

One Time Setup Fee = RM 200
One Time Deposit = RM 1,000 (waived for EC Hosting subscribers)
Annual Fee = RM 1,188 (RM 99 x 12)
Total = RM 2,388 only

If you take our EC Hosting as well the total = RM 1,388 only (deposit waived)
Starting from the 2nd year, the annual recurring fee is at RM 1,188 only (RM 99 x 12)

Just to let you know, the default trading limit for our NBePay System is RM 1,000 per transaction and maximum of RM10,000 per one transaction period (15 days). If the maximum trading limit has been reached before one transaction period expires, the account will be temporary suspended and no more transaction can take place until the next transaction period. See the chart below for details.

kalau nak credit card, ikut post aku yg kat atas.

maybank2u nyer info lak ari ni!
requirement:
To become a Maybank2u.com payee corporation/merchant, you must have the following basic criteria:
• Legitimate business operations and registered with the Registrar of Companies
• More than one year in operation

Other business considerations are:
• Monthly/yearly sales volume (normally reflected in the Company's bank statement)
• Nature of business (B2C)
• Type of industry (Commercial)
How to register as a Maybank2u.com payee corporation?
Step 1 Submit the application form and relevant documents.
Step 2 We will process your application. Once your application has been approved, we will send you the following documents via courier:
• Letter of Offer
• Reply Form
• Bill Payment Service Agreement
• Technical Form
Step 3 Open a Maybank Current Account (if you do not have any) solely for the collection of Maybank2u.com payments. We will debit the customer's account and credit your collection account after each successful transaction.
Step 4 Accept our offer by returning the following duly executed documents:
• Reply Form
• Bill Payment Service Agreement
• Technical Form
• Authorisation letter signed by the authorised signatories to debit your company account for payment of Maybank2u.com service charges
Step 5 Upon receipt of the above documents, our marketing representative will meet with you to discuss the following in detail:
• Business requirements
• Technical requirements
• Operational requirements
Step 6 Your company will be listed in Maybank2u.com's list of payee corporations and customers will be able to make their payment transactions online.
info lain:
  1. bayar melalui laman web korang(aku pakai nih)
  2. bayar melalui laman web maybank2u.com(maknenye customer korang kene gi maybank2u.com n then masukkan detail order diorang)

Integrasi ngan shopping cart:
- Virtuemart(kacang tanah jek aku buat)(dulu aku ada post camne nak intergratekan)(aku tgh buat payment module ntuk m2u)
- Oscommerce(kacang panjang)
- lain-lain(aku x test lagi)

ni gamba virtuemart aku:
Image
Macam yang aku cakap dulu, 70% maybank2u, 10% ccard baki tu kiriman wang pos, check @ transaksi dr bank lain.
Kalau nak aku ajar paypal pon boleh gak..

p/s kalau nak tanya lagi lanjut pasal maybank2u aku bg no kontek aku kat maybank.[pm me]

apa salahnya nak tambah cerita / info yg menarik. ada ramai lagi yang tak paham mcm mana nak setup e-commerce nie. ape yg kene ade. ya, aku tau ada antara info tu 'terlalu mahal' utk diletakkan disini. especially something yg kene buat research, tanya org tu org nie, kuar masuk bank, call company yg offer payment gateway, tanya camne nak setup merchant account bla bla bla...

sedangkan joomla dan virtuemart tu pon diorang release free, takde nak charge ape. kita sesama pengguna takkan nak berkira dgn ilmu yg seciput nie kut. tak rugi mana pon, takdenya ilmu tu hilang dibawa angin kalau ajar org lain...takkan takut dgn statistik pertumbuhan competitor kut?

so far yg aku dpt:

PayPal (http://www.paypal.com)
utk international paling mudah guna PayPal, tapi masalah kepada sesiapa yg takde credit card. kene verify acct paypal guna credit card. dan lagi satu nak keluarkan duit kat malaysia nie agak susah sikit.
    * You control how you pay, too: bank account, credit card or your PayPal balance. From home, work, even your mobile phone. It’s all about choice: yours.
E-Gold (http://www.e-gold.com)
selain tu guna e-gold. yg nie agak mudah utk single item, kalau utk multiple items kene buat coding sket la, make your hand dirty. rujuk sini,

Code: Select all

https://www.e-gold.com/unsecure/sci_home.html
kalau tak salah virtuemart ade payment method utk e-gold, kalau tak salah la...tapi mcm paypal, masalah nak beli dan nak jual e-gold nie leceh dan ada charge tambahan. tapi aku ade kenal [soran] mamat nie jual / beli e-gold, pakai maybank2u aje. so far aku puas hati dgn service dia cuma 1USD = RM3.85. kalau nak aku boleh bg contact no dia, PM aku.

2CheckOut / 2CO (http://www.2checkout.com)
2CO rasanya yg terbaik setakat nie, dan payment melalui cek. bak kata bro tenukes, total credit card cost untuk sale sebulan 2co(5.5% + US0.45 bagi setiap transaksi untuk bulan tu). tu tak kira lagi processing fees. memang agak 'mahal' la utk bisnes yg baru nak mula tapi tu salah satu option yg ade. info dari 2CO:
Checks (Ground or Air)
Those vendors whom exist inside the United States and Canada are sent checks through ground mail. Those outside the United States and Canada are sent checks through airmail. Checks, whether by ground or air, are sent to the address specified in your personal information. Payment via checks do incur extra costs because of the fees that banks charge us (2CO) to process them. If you choose to receive payment through checks, 2CO passes these costs to you. See "2CO's Payment Processing Fees" for these fees.

NBEpay (http://www.netbuilder.com.my)
NBepay Rates
Setup Fee(RM) 200
Monthly Fee(RM) 99
Transaction Fee Start from 2.9%
Deposit (RM) 1000
Settlement (Days) 15
Deposit aje RM1000, campur dgn setup fees + mothly fees kalau baru nak mula kene prepare RM1299!!!! perghhh!! patut la kalau nak buat e-commerce org charge mahal giler!

ini ape yg aku dpt dari 2 minggu punya research, kalau salah tolong betulkan.
kalau nak pakai paypal, e-gold, 2co takyah la nak beli SSL cert. jimat kat situ dah. pastu kalau nak start pakai authorize.net, dapatkan address kat us, ushar kat http://www.usabox.com. setup fees USD39 aje (utk basic plan). bila sales dah cecah USD10,000 sebulan baru la boleh pikir nak pakai verisign + setup satu merchant acct sendiri (deposit tinggi rasanya).

Payment: PayPal, E-Gold, 2CO
SSL: No
Merchant Acct: No
Credit Card: Yes and No
US Resident: No

Payment: WorldPay, Verisign, Authorize.net, NBEpay
SSL: Yes
Merchant Acct: Yes
Credit Card: Yes
US Resident: Yes and No

kalau salah tolong betulkan.

aku rasa Nbepay xyah pakai ssl sendirik:

 tenukes menyelongkar emel2 lama dia ~

tgk ni(sedutan emel dari nbepay)
Here is an example of the front-end payment page for your online customer to enter their credit card details:
https://www.onlinepayment.com.my/NBepay ... erid=DG873

Here is a Fake Visa Card for trial = 4111111111111111
CVV = 111
Expiration Date = 2007

You can try and make a purchase. Don't worry; no actual transaction will take place. This is only a test.
Now you can access the back-end test account to track your customer’s payment status using the following link, username and password:

https://www.onlinepayment.com.my/NBepay

Merchant ID: test03
Password: test234
nope 2co is not the best, its the worst. Tapi 2co terbaik untuk buat analisa market. ko tanak bayar deposit rm1000 n then rm99 sebulan(ade bgtau x kene bayar by annum?) pastu sale sebulan bawah RM99. So 12(99)+1000+200(setup)=RM2388!!!!.
Kesimpulannye.. kita tanak rugi daftar pastu x balik modal 1388 dlm setahun. 2co punye rate pulak membunuh nyer tinggi.

Deposit tu x kesah sangat sbb boleh claim balik.

mari kita lihat dari satu sudut. apabila adanya minat, org itu tentu akan mencari maklumat. kalau dahulu, seorang yg berminat cari tak jumpa.
sekarang dah ramai yg minat, pasti ada yg jumpa.

interest will spawn effort. effort will lead to discovery...

sometimes, even the best intention can cause harm. if i share everything (not that i know everything pun) here, people will think its easy. Just ask, and get the answers. Well that is not that simple. Learning process is not by spoonfeed. If you spoonfeed your monkey, it wont survive in the jungle on its own.

Even cikgu sekolah pun tak bagi semua jawapan. Cikgu definitely bagitau mcm mana nak buat tapi to get the answer you have to solve it on your own.

Bukan sebab kedekut or takut kompetitor, afterall information is all about sharing knowledge. I only want others who seek knowledge understand the power of internet. Search it and share it. That is why banyak forum (foreign) will ask you to search first. Kalau tak faham baru tanya.

besides, all the there is need to know about ecommerce is already being covered... :)

yerp, i agree with u...kadang2 kita ni nak org suap satu2, tanak usaha lebih sikit. walaupun topik e-commerce yg ade kat internet kebanyakannya susah nak digunakan kat kita malaysia nie, tapi ade cara nak buat.

jadi dari perbincangan, idea, info yg diberikan apa yg aku dpt skang ialah:

disebabkan e-commerce webiste yg aku nak buat melibatkan jualan kat oversea (canada target utama) jadinya,

Website + Shopping Cart:
Joomla! + Virtuemart

Payment Method:
PayPal + E-gold (tahun pertama)
NBEpay (tahun berikutnya)

Misc:
Register address US kat http://www.usabox.com
Takyah beli SSL cert lagi

Info lanjut utk sesiapa yg memerlukan:

Code: Select all

Setup PayPal Payment
