Site Temporarily Not Available

Hi Guys

I have a website "www.scbbec.com" the website domain is held with Powweb but Powweb advised that the administrators of my website is Joomla. Recently what has happened is that when we try to go onto the website it says This site is temporarily unavailable.Please notify the System Administrator 2. I have contacted Powweb and they say that they cannot resolve the issue on their side and the issue is due to module or with any extension inside this application. Can someone please assist me to resolve this issue as i need to get the website up and running as soon as possible.

Be informed that Joomla! does not administer any sites except its own.

Reviewed the site and it looks like the site has been built using Joomla! 1.0. You may have to get in touch with the person who has developed the site.

If you need paid assistance, you could post your request in the forum Professional Development Services (http://forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=177). You could also look for professionals at http://resources.joomla.org/en/.

Be informed that the version of Joomla! used to build the site is very much outdated. The current version of Joomla! is 3.6.2. So, the site may have to be upgraded to the latest stable version of Joomla!

Powweb have this weird habit of allowing Joomla 1.0 websites on their shared hosting servers (most hosts would not allow Joomla 1.0 websites on their servers). In any case, your problem is likely to be a database problem. Make sure that:

- The database and all its tables exist
- The connection parameters to the database are correct
- All the tables are good (in other words, you don't have a corruption in any of its tables)

My guess is that it might be that they have upgraded MySQL and now your website has problems because of it, or it might be that your website is hacked and some configuration parameters were changed (although that would be a weird hack).

It is very important that you update your Joomla website as soon as possible.
