Edit Front Page

Post by smference » Sat Mar 04, 2017 11:47 am

A friend asked me for help with his website. I'll start by saying I know almost nothing about web publishing (I'm a network engineer) That said he wants to make a simple change in some text on the home page [http://www.diranart.com/web/index.php?o ... e&Itemid=1

I've looked everywhere and can not find where to edit the text for that URL. Any help would be much appreciated.

You can login here: http://www.diranart.com/web/administrator/ using the admin PW & Username and than change the text :)

Please also contact your friend and told him that he should rebuild the site or let the site rebuild on the last version of Joomla as 1.0 is very old and don't get any support / update from the core :)

Until I get this sorted, I'd like to take the website offline. Is there a way to disable it?

Hi smference,

You can do this in the administrator backend, go to Global Configuration, and set 'Site offline' to 'Yes'. http://www.diranart.com/web/administrator/
