PHP rewrite/ installing Joomla! in own directory

Post by jeremytai » Mon Jan 08, 2007 4:58 pm

I would like Joomla's homepage to be different than the directory I installed Joomla in.

This is similar to Wordpress: "Many people want WordPress to power their site's root (e.g. http://example.com) but they don't want all of the WordPress files cluttering up their root directory. WordPress allows you to install the WordPress files to a subdirectory, but have your blog exist in the site root."
i.e.: http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordP ... _Directory

Is there a was to do this with Joomla?
