Joomla 1.0.12 Update Problem

Hi guys so I know this question was probably answered many many times but after countles hours on yt videos from 2008 and old post that links doesn't work anymoreI'm about lose my s**t. I was trying to update my joomla to latest version if I understand correctly first I have to update to 1.15 then 2.5 and then to the latest (please correct me if I'm wrong). I've already migrated some things and when I want to upload instalation file I got error saying cannot create catalog?/folder? (screenshot). As far as I know it got something to do with permissions, I asked the guy who is running server about this but he gave me only login and password to total commander and I have no idea what to do with this.
Please someone help me

P.S: I'm from poland so some words may be in polish I will try translate them as good as I can

Best start fresh with the latest Joomla (no sample data) and create a new site.

Yeah I was thinking about that but I'd lose everything on my site, and I don't know much about PHP unless there is no choice and I lose everything no matter what

You can copy/paste (via notepad++)
You will need to install different 3rd party extensions in any case.

If you have users you might be able to move them using j2xml (not sure if they have a version for that old a Joomla).
