automated restoral of data within installation process

Just a thought... it would seem to be an ideal situation with so many plug ins and modules, made by our community members with good intentions, but sometimes with unintended results that there would be within the migration choice portion of the installation, or elsewhere within the installation an option to automate the restoral of data using either backup data and /or Joomla actually automatically having the option to create a simultaneous backup that could be reverted to easily and immediately (like creating restore points)  similar to how many software packages preserving data and settings, but permitting a fresh install.
