Joomla help site Configuration not easy to read

Post by nicholai » Tue Jan 16, 2007 7:14 am

Hello.

I am testing joomla and I am also searching for things that will make J! not that easy as it should be.
A piece:
Mail Tab:
Mailer - Choose which mailer you wish to use: PHP mail function, Sendmail or SMTP Server.
Mail From - Choose which email address will show as the sender.
From Name - Choose what name will show as the sender.
Sendmail Path - This is the directory of the Mail server
SMTP Auth - Choose "Yes" if SMTP Authentication is required by your host.
SMTP User - If authentication is required and set above, type your username.
SMTP Pass - If authentication is required and set above, type your password.
SMTP Host - This is usually set as localhost, but you may need to check this with your host.
Wouldnt it be much easier to read if you use for example for the titles and make the subject bold?

http://help.joomla.org/index2.php?optio ... .config.15

This is the address J! 1.5 Uses.
There are also other docs who needs to be updated. For example the one of installing. In J! 1.5 you have 3 ways to install an extensions, the doc explains only 2. Installing by URL is added.

Hi Nicholai,

All the 1.5 Help Screens are currently under full review & development and the items included within the 1.5 Beta testing release are not the finished article, just working examples.

This work will be completed before the Stable release of 1.5 is made in the future.

Thanks for the suggestions never the less.

Regards

Andy

nicholai,

Are you interested in helping to write new content for the Help Screens 1.5?

If yes, I suggest to get started, is to familiarize yourself with 2 Interfaces within the Administrator and their features.  Then contact me when you feel that you are ready to begin.
Thanks!
