Hi !

A bit new to that place (Joomla) but used previously Mambo for my previous website (rest in peace !).
Count me in for help (writting or proof reading / 5 hours a week a basis .... but right now 10 hours a week)
Strong knowledge of English + French (my mother tongue).
Forums are a wild jungle for me and perhaps am I not yet used to good habits !

the right thing is

Indeed there are 11 sections and not 10 !

Rapid reader, compulsive "spellchecker" ( eidetic memory for spelling LOL), proofreading, editing ( if that means taking a long-winded paragraph and rendering it "smoother")
3. What is your time zone?
USA Central time ( Texas)
4. Is English your first language?  If not, what language is?
English is my first language ( Though I DO speak Aussie! LOL)

Hi, here I am. I haven't even begun looking for what to do first, so let me know if there's somewhere I should start.

Interesting things about me:

- professional technical writer for many years
- ex-software developer; M. Info. Sys., Monash University
- recently implemented single-source doc system with DocBook
- previous employer was a Web-based CMS/CRM company
- very interested in CMS (which is why I stumbled in here)
- zero knowledge about Joomla!
- my ISP provides Joomla! and I was thinking about trying it
- Northern California, also speak French (well), Spanish, Italian, and Aussie

I'll just start looking around, shall I? Now where's that "getting started" book...
