i wanted to make a PDF version of Joomla documentations for offline reference and to hand out to clients, i was thinking of using HTTrack to mass download all pages then convert them to PDF.

but it would be nice if the documentation is availiable in any format beside online which i can use as basis for PDF creation?

We are are currently looking at our options for creating pdf.  We would want to create a DocBook format which could easily create the pdf format as well as other formats.

We would like to form a small team of 2 or 3 to take care of this.  If you are interested in joining this team, then please read this post.

Do you want to help out?

Another option:

This may not be ideal for everyone and it is more time consuming, but I basically opened all the appendix's and chapters in tabs using FF.  Then I did a mass bookmark of all the tabs.  Now I have all the help docs as easy to find tabs under my bookmarks.  Until we have a PDF version, all you have to do is open each tab and hit the PDF icon to print.

Like I said, not the most ideal, but I always have the docs up to date with my mass-bookmarks extension.
