Can I provide a user "Limited Backend Access"

Can I give a user limited backend access to a few modules that they can't edit them from the frontend? While they can login and edit articles from the frontend they can't edit a few modules they should be able too. I do not want to give them full access of a super user but some things they need to see.

Can this be done?

What exact version of joomla are you using as it is different for 1.5 and 1.7

I have the same question as Mlabello"s. I am using 1.5 and I want users to login using back-end or front-end and have access to Administration side to post, edit items of only one or two module from back-end and not any other modules.

I too want to give limited access to a new user for a 1.6 joomla site. I want to give access to only 1 page/article for editing. Can this be done and what level of access do I set them up with? Thanks in advance.
