nightly build archive corrupt

hi, i have installed joomla 1.6 a2, and now want to upgrade to a nightly buiild but archives seem to be corrupt:

	perhaps it is corrupted?  *Possible* reason follows.

tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

could need a little help,
