Global Content/Article preferences not working for me

Hi,

After clean install of J1.5B2 on winxpsp2/wamp5 1.6.5

It seems these preferences have moved from "Global configuration" to "Preferences" in the Article Manager.

When you look at an article parameter (for example "Author name"), it can have 3 settings : Show, Hide or Use Global.
This last one doesn't work. Whatever setting you put in the Global preferences, the Author name is shown on the page.

When looking at the data, I understand that:
show_author=1 = show
show_author=0 = hide
show_author=  = use global

The article preferences are to be found in components.params where only 0 and 1 are allowed, aren't they?
I am not sure the new user interface for the preferences saves changed values.
When changing values directly in the record, no impact either.
Only way to let "author name" disappear is to choose "Hide" article by article.

Does someone else have the same behavior?

Look in the menu parameters for the menu item it falls under... There is a component configuration slider
