adding new styles for editong content in Editor - TinyMCE 2.0

Post by uweD » Thu Jun 28, 2007 10:11 pm

Hi,
Sorry if the forum is not the right one. But I just don't know a better place where to place this post.

I am testing a fresh installation of Joomla 1.5 with the default editor TinyMCE 2.0. Everything works nicely but I have a question: How can I add more styles to the drop down lists 'Styles' within the editor. Currently there is only 'caption' and nothing else.

I would expect to be able to add more CSS classes. How can I do that? Where are the classes for the editor defined? Where does 'caption' come from?

-- Just to make sure: I am talking about the classes the user is able to choose from to mark up the content generated with TinyMCE --

Thanks,
Uwe

Hi.,

I found the answer myself 5 minutes after posting this.:

All you need to do is to create a 'editor.css' file within your template/css folder and surprise: You can create all the CSS classes you need in there. Afterwards those classes will be available in the drop down 'Styles' in the editor.

Everything I see and find around Joomla makes me a happier person  :),

Very good to work with Joomla!

Thanks for this, Uwe! Happy is good. Want to mark the subject as solved for the devs to skip?

Glad to see you still testing and staying involved!

Hi Amy,

Nothing will stop my enthusiasm for Joomla!. It is amazing. I officially stopped all my other 'normal' php development and will concentrate 100% on testing/working with Joomla!.

Can you please tell me how to set a topic to 'solved'. I must admit I don't know how,

To mark a topic as 'solved', update the first post and change the Message Icon to solved. I appreciate and agree with your enthusiasm for J!.

Amy :)
