Validation nightmare

After last post, thought I had better upload and play with 1.5 on my server.
Used Beez template - ok no tables good start. However, humungous validation issue.
50 something errors similar to:
Warning Line 62 column 88: cannot generate system identifier for general entity "f6051a5a517ff30a47ad04f5a13390c1".
...php?Itemid=28&option=com_content&f6051a5a517ff30a47ad04f5a13390c1=c8259bf
However, on looking at source it reads "Itemid=28&option=com_content" class="mainlevel-nav"
Any thoughts?
