Learning Joomla! 1.5 Extension Development

I just bought the book, Learning Joomla! 1.5 Extension Development by Joseph LeBlanc. Was wondering what the differences are between the process of creating a Joomla 1.0 vs. 1.5 extension?

I'd like to read the entire book, but I'm still developing for 1.0. Any ideas?

J!1.5 is basically a complete rewrite of the entire core utilizing a more object oriented framework.  The book you purchased shows you how to build extensions in the new framework.  These extensions will not work in J!1.0.x.  However, extensions built in the 1.0.x framework could possibly work in the new framework with legacy mode turned on.

Me, I'm developing for 1.5, but if you plan on selling your extensions, you may want to look at 1.0 in order to cover the widest range of users.

crap. any pointers to where i can learn about 1.0 extension development? i tried looking for a book on amazon and came upon the only one available, which is this book for 1.5 :/
