eBay integration with Virtuemart?

Post by urbanpueblo » Mon Dec 22, 2008 4:16 am

Does anyone know if a tool exists that can integrate Virtuemart with the eBay API?

This listing tool would push out product to eBay, auto-relist, auto-emails, auto-feedback etc -- functioning like an Auctiva, Vendio or Channeladvisor.

If not, how do sellers manage inventory who use Virtuemart with a Joomla site and sell on multiple channels (eBay & Amazon) without the aide of one of the aforementioned tools?

Thanks in advance,
David

Hi David,

This is Rick from ChannelAdvisor.

It's possible with some understanding of the Virtuemart API you could get it to integrate with ChannelAdvisor.

In general, we find that a lot of out of the box eBay integrations with storefronts only offer about 1/10th of the features and possibilities of the eBay platform, and they almost never keep up with the features involved.

I'd be happy to have this discussion with you if you are interested in running a serious eBay business. If you just want to throw a couple of items up on eBay, then probably ChannelAdvisor isn't a fit for what you're looking for anyway.

Thanks

Thought I'd add this to the thread, even though it's old, because I'm sure there are still folks reading it from time to time who don't realize that there is now a way to do this. I doubt that a very specific tool like this, which requires constant updates to stay current with eBay marketplace changes and their API, would ever be part of the core. But we have written an extension to handle it.

JoomLister for eBay lets you centrally manage products and inventory all in VirtueMart, and list them automatically on eBay. It keeps the inventory in sync when you sell items in either store. If interested, visit https://polishedgeek.com/paid-extension ... ister.html to see if it meets your needs.

Hi, Boiler -

We have three different pricing plans depending upon your needs. You can see the options here on our Pricing page: https://polishedgeek.com/paid-extension ... plans.html

We also offer some developer options for those who wish to offer eBay integration as a service to multiple clients.
