Can't Log in: "You do not have access to the administrator section of this site"

I cannot log into my admin back end panel --- it gives an error of "You do not have access to the administrator section of this site."

I've read a couple of threads on this forum with some possible solutions but they didn't work.
E.g. changing the

Code: Select all

	var $session_handler = 'database';
to

Code: Select all

	var $session_handler = '';
.



Please help! :(
