How can I modify the User registration page?

Hi,
I'd like to modify the user registration page of my website (http://www.permacultura-es.org/componen ... k=register) in order to add there some legal notices, but I am not sure how to since there doesn't seem to be a specific template that I can modify.
Any help appreciated

Use a template override see the section titled "Creating Overrides."

The override you want to create is com_users, registration.

Thanks, but how can I do this in Joomla 1.5.x?

you can't, and you shouldn't even be using 1.5

Look, I know I should be using the latest distro, and I will do it as soon as I have the time to concentrate on how to upgrade what I have. But right now I'd just like to find a solution to comply with the GDPR law and I'd like to put some notice into the registration screen and login screen so that users are advised about the data treatment policy and can consent to offer their personal data. I am aware that Joomla 1.5 is not as secure as the latest distro so this fact alone can impair my compliance with this new law. Still right now it is a question of time for me to at least improve what I have to the extent that I can possibly achieve now.

You could use the custom HTML Module to display your message somewhere on the same page as the registration as a temporary measure, but do not assume you are GDPR compliant.
