Hello!

I have big problem with one site which was in Joomla 1.5 and someone deleted it from from server. So, I don't have any file, but just database.

I can't upload that database in my phpmyadmin on localhost, maybe because it is too old, and I have the latest xampp.

I wanted install Joomla 1.5 and put database up to can get articles. That web was alive for about 15 years, sinse last year, but noone was upgraded it into new versions. And it had event calendar, webshop, and some other extensions...

How can I reconstructe that database to get articles from that 15 years period, please?

Install a Joomla 1.5 to recover your data from the base : https://downloads.joomla.org/cms/joomla15/

and after, install a new Joomla 3.9.11 with recent extensions to make the site revive

Tnx. So, I should install it on server directly? Or can on localhost in the latest xampp? I wanted do it offline on my localhost.
And I can just upgrade on the newest joomla, don't need one by one to the latest?

If you have not too much data, think if you better begin a brand new site instead of migrate

just a question, did you ask your host if he has backup of your old site ?

Theree is just database, but whole site, all folders and everything is gone while some ppl wated migrate it on another server :-(
I was looking in all folders, and there is no anything what look like joomla folders

And they did just backup for database before

tnx, but I installed wamp and now I can switch between 5 and 7 php versions

and I put database into phpmyadmin but have problem with installing joomla 1.5

ok, I had help and now I have the web in jomla 1.5 on WAMPP, but I have no password for admin because that guy who help me deleted "admin", but he put nto whole base with articles from 15 years adn all users, just admin not, and now I can't login. What can I do?
Tommorow I'll try update Joomla 1.5 to 3.9.11 step by step.

Make sure to take a copy of the database before attempting this.

I did it but didn't copy database before it, and it doesn't work. Maybe something else id problem why I can't login.

I tried everything: changing password in phpmyadmin (MD5 and pass); adding public $root_user='admin'; in configuration.php; also that "secret" code for pass d2064d358136996bd22421584a7cb33e:trd7TvKHx6dMeoMmBVxYmg0vuXEA4199 without MD5; but nothing works. Even put session lifetime from 15 to 2880. I don't know why I cant login and what to do.

I tried to install Joomla 1.5.26 with xampp to help you and I didn't succeed

Hard work but maybe one of your last chance to recover : Open your database with notepad (for example) and copy all datas from articles table if the database is not too big

Yes, u're right. So:
1. I didn't need Joomla 1.5 installation at all, just that database in phpmyadmin
2. I had installation of Joomla 3.9.11 and installed into SP Upgrade package I got from someone
3. I connected via ftp database for old Joomla 1.5 in configuration of that component
4. I clicked transfer all - and I got all users, articles, categories, contacts, menus and everything else in my Joomla 3.9.11


I tried few different migrators before that but they didn't work the job. This tool is magnificant.
