Return 404 for non existing pages

Hi All.

I need to support for legacy code of Joomla 1.5

Now Joomla returns main page for any url like mysite.domain/?asdfasdfasdfasdfasfdasfdsadf

I need to fix it, becouse google cache contain many links on my site which does not exist

How to do this?

Here are some steps which help you:
1. Open your web blogs. htaccess record which will be in your site's route folder mostly under the public HTML organizer.
2. Add 301 moved permanently to it.
3. Google recommends utilizing 301 redirects to change the URL of a page as it is shown in the search engine results.
